At our own invitation, we welcomed the ECTAA executive committee today.
The members of the ECTAA executive committee walked and were guided for about 2.5 hours in the city of Rethymno.
Afterwards, a dinner was served to them by our Association, in the presence of our president Stratos Beretis, with the participation of the mayor Mr. Marinakis, the vice-mayor Mrs. Birlirakis, the president of the Rethymno hoteliers' association Mr. Tsakalakis and the Sales Director of Aegean South Greece Mr. Paris Epitropakis.
During the dinner, Rethymno was presented as a complete tourist destination and there was an exchange of views on current tourism issues.
Our visitors expressed their enthusiasm for our city but also the promise that there will be future ECTAA actions in Rethymnon.
It should be noted that within the framework of the "Preferred Destination" program in collaboration with the EOT, for the current year, Greece is shown in all European countries, but also in those cooperating with ECTAA https://www.ectaa.org/en (The European Travel agents and tour operators Associations) states.
The message of this visit is very encouraging and optimistic, as in the midst of a special tourist season, Greece is at the forefront of European visibility, looking forward to the further development of tourism for 2023
